The Safety Design in Buildings conference is an industry debating platform facilitating dialogue and best practice for fire safety professionals and authorities. Following a campaign of GCC-wide conferences in 2013 the platform is now presented by Intersec under the patronage and participation of Dubai Civil Defense.

The conference addresses fire safety strategies which involve stakeholders such as designers, fire consultants, contractors, and authorities from an early stage on. Highlighted by fire engineers the conference presents case studies and panel discussions ranging from elemental principles of safety properties to applying safety strategies into visionary architecture such as Kingdom Tower or Burj Khalifa.
